Most of the staff in The Dusun are from the Temuan (orang asli) villages nearby. They are very knowledgeable about the jungle and will not hesitate to share it with the visitors. There are six houses in The Dusun which visitors can choose from (of which one is under renovation), all of them are uniquely themed and constructed. 2. Fraser’s Hill
Fraser’s Hill is a mountain village in Pahang. The fastest route one can take is from Kuala Kubu Bharu, a small, quaint town in Hulu Selangor District (We do recommend stopping by this small town for lunch or even to just experience the simple life of the residents here). Fraser’s Hill is known for its highland rainforest and extensive birdlife. Over the years, this highland getaway has hosted many birdwatching events, including the annual Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race. Not a birdwatcher? Fret not. There are several nature paths, including Pine Tree Trail and Bishop Trail, cross jungle terrain sheltering migratory birds like the Siberian thrush. The area also harbors Malayan tigers and rare trig oak trees. If you’re looking for a nature retreat, look no further than Fraser’s Hill.
